Prayer Scriptures for the week of May 24, 2026- Monday -Ephesians 4:1 Wednesday - Romans 12:4 Friday - Romans 15:5-6 Prayer aand fasting  3 hours if permitted. Pentecost Sunday we are asking everyone to wear red or just a touch of red. Women's Days 2 days of Celebrations. The committee is asking all Women to pledge $100.00 payment plans are available. T-shirts are also available purchase please see Sis. Gwen Payne, Sis. Diane Cossey or Andrea Cossey. A special Tea Luncheon along with a Guest Speaker will be on that Saturday June 13, 2026. On that Sunday, June 14, 2026 please join us for an Amazing Worship Service as Elder Penny Devereaux will bring the preached word. Memorial Day will be this Monday, May 25, 2026 Remember and Honor a Veteran.

Allen Anvil Week of April 5th 2026 Prayer Is Much Needed Always- Scriptures for the coming week are as follows: Monday - John 11:25-26 Wednesday Romans 10:9 Friday Romans 5:8 Prayfully 3 hours 9-12 on those days.  Allen Survey is out please answer the 3 question survey to help us in how we can improve & what you love about your church. Names do not need to disclosed. Good  Friday Services will be held at Gomez AME Church 1509 Michigan Ave. Rockford, Illinois Pastor Rev. Karla Garcia starting at 2:00 PM.  Allen 's Steward & Trustee Board Meeting will be on Tuesday April 7th at 5:00 PM members will be notified if in person or Zoom sent via text. Allen's Class Leader Meeting will be held on Thursday April 9th at 5:00 PM by Zoom information will be forwarded.  Invite a Friend & Bake Sale will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 following church services. All items will be homemade with love.  Save the Date "Women's Day 2026 June 13th & 14th.  Allen Chapel Combine Choir - Rehearsals, each Saturday b4 the First and 3rd Sundays at 11:00 AM. Maundy Thursday will be on Thursday April 2, 2026 at 5:00 pm please join us for a message and the history on how Jesus washed his disciples feet after the Last Supper. Women's History Month & Lent Season - Weekly Praying and fasting - Monday Zephaniah 3:17 Wednesday - Matthew 6:21 Friday- Acts 15:9 Allen Steward and Trustee Board Meeting-Tuesday March 3, 2026 via Zoom more info will follow- Daylight Saving Time 2026 - On Sunday, March 8th at 2:00 AM turn your clocks forward & Spring Forward- The 4th District Mid-Year Convacation will be held March 11-14th in Downers Grove- The Pew Rally will be held on March 22, 2026 The Church Pew Rally will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026 during the morning Worship Service. Each class leader will decorate their Pew with it's colors. Each group will have 10 minutes or less to summarize the book they have been assigned. We're asking all adults to donate $20.00 and Children to donate $10.00 Your class leaders should be contacting you about this event. Special envelopes will be given designated for this purpose.Please come out and support this wonderful this event. Let's pack the house.

Scriptures for February 23 - February 27th are as follows: Monday Jeremiah 17:7-8 Wednesday, Isaiah 44:2 Friday  Isiah 26:3 Prayfully 3 hours 9-12 on those days.  YPD -Souper Bowl Event - The Annual YPD will be collecting $5.00 to feed the needy for the entire month of February. All proceeds will go to help provide meals throughout our community. Allen Choir Rehearsals each Saturday before the First and third Sundays at 11:00 AM.  Senior Computer Classes: Every Thursday Pastor Halbert will be providing free computer classes for the Seniors of Allen Chapel. If you are interested, you can join at 12:00 PM on Thursdays.  All are welcome. Bible Study:  every Wednesday at 11:00 AM in person, Zoom and or via conference call 1-978-990-5000, Passcode 858823# Please note any Zoom information will be forwarded upon request.

Founders Day February 21, 2026 from 2:00  pm to 5:00 pm Theme:   Planting Your Feet on Higher Ground, The Legacy" Scripture:   Psalms 121:1-2 (NIV) I lift my eyes to  the mountains where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord. Tickets are available for purchase $55.00   Please come out and support this event.  Allen's In-House Clean Up   It's time to dust, vaccum and toss some things out. We're asking all members to assist in this project. Nora Taylor Missionary & Francis L. Walker Lay Organization will be collecting your new and gentlly used items until January 31, 2026 to give to a local organization.
